China (People's Republic), gold 10 yuan (1/10 oz) Panda, 1983, NGC MS 69. KM-69; PAN-9A. Mintage: 82,013 (but <14,000 extant). As Anthony points out, most of the early Pandas were wholesaled to jewelers and therefore undamaged examples exist in only fractions of their total mintage. Pedigreed to the Gansu Collection of Chinese Panda Coinage.
